Takaoka Manyo Festival
Held for three days from Friday to Sunday in the first week of October every year at Takaoka Kojo Park. For three consecutive days and nights, various events are held, including relayed recitations of all 20 volumes (4,516 poems) of the Manyoshu and cultural performances.
