Goinsai Festivalhi
Held every year on the 19th and 20th of June. It is held to show gratitude and to honor the virtue of Lord Toshinaga Maeda, the founder of Takaoka, who once offered his protection to metalworking artisans. On the 19th, there is a parade in Kanaya-machi, dancing to “Yagaefu,” a traditional song that the metal workers used to sing while at work.
